Fran Harding acquired STARTLE from John Benz in a trade that sent FORESTLAKE RAGAMUFFIN his way. Fran registered FORESTLAKE DEVIL’S MISTRESS (Sdlg x Startle) in 1998. FORESTLAKE DEVIL’S MISTRESS has been a parent for seed sales for Fran. I don’t know how productive of a parent it has been because there haven’t been any  daylilies  registered as kids out of it.  A  batch of Fran’s advertised seeds that she had for sale  included a cross of FORESTLAKE DEVIL’S MISTRESS x WILD IRISH.   Michigan hybridizer and daylily teeth expert, John Kulpa has shown a promising daylily seedling from that cross that closely resembles its parent FORESTLAKE DEVIL’S MISTRESS. More on STARTLE on the next Daylily Teeth Blog…

    Mike,

Really impressive blog about teeth. Just starting to take an interest in breeding them
and your writings are very informative. Keep it up. Happy Holidays.
