WORTHY OF DISTINCTION, F2 ORANGE THROAT TEETH

WORTHY OF DISTINCTION F2

My friend over in Pittsburg, Jim Bob Bobrzynski sent me this image of a F2 cross of Angelo Brunetti’s WORTHY OF DISTINCTION. The orange throat and orange teeth on a hot pink self work well together. The seedling resembles Jamie Gossard’s PUFFER FISH(Enchanted April x Forestlake Ragamuffin) except for the teeth on Angelo’s seedling are more pronounced.  If I didn’t mind about a scape under 28 inches, I’d take PUFFERFISH or Angelo’s seedling if I had it, into John Peat’s ANITA MCMASTER. This daylily is a lavender-pink with a tangerine orange watermark and heavy matching tangerine-orange edge. It has  four doses of SULTRY SMILE in it and a dose  ETERNITY’S SHADOW. ETERNITY’S SHADOW is loaded with dormancy in its genetics, tracing all the way back to Reckamp’s  SUMMER SPLENDOR. These orange throats and orange edge crosses are attractive and should be considered when you may think green throats are the only way to go…More teeth tomorrow on the Daylily teeth Blog…
