WEDDING CANTATA

CLEMENT 08 (Beautiful Edgings x Lola Branham)
40" x 7" ml ev.

Special thanks to Laura Berenson from the spider robin for coming up with the name, WEDDING CANTATA, named in honor
of J.S. Bach's musical composition of the same name.  WEDDING CANTATA's color varies from near white to a light pink blush depending
on weather conditions.  It also proves my thesis that length of bloom season is more important than number of buds.  While it only has 12 buds
per scape, it is actually in bloom longer than my previous intro PICK ME UP which starts to bloom around the same time and has twice the bud count.
It's bloom season is another definite plus as it starts blooming in mid to late July here on tall scapes with 7 inch blooms just as the majority of cultivars
are pretty much bloomed out and it continues blooming well into August.  While it is evergreen, it has always proved to be hardy here, and its scapes
frequently display a stunted side branch with 2 buds that I suspect will develop more fully in warmer climates and give it a bit more in the way
of bud count.  As with its parent, LOLA BRANHAM, WEDDING CANTATA, is a very slow increaser at first and once it is established it takes off.
I had 3 fans of it after 6 years and 2 years later I had 17 fans.  Moderately fertile either way.
