Only by paying careful attention to the genotype of the two parents would this cross ever have been made. Way to go Steve for having the foresight and endless knowledge of daylilies that you had!

Master Yoda was one of those creations that Steve saw as being one of his very important accomplishments. The endless crosses made for patterned breeding in the program could back that up. Its size can be almost overwhelming. For anyone who knew how large Steve's hand was, that is it being covered almost completely by the flower. Master Yoda is a conglomeration of patterns within patterns that is unique to my knowledge. Rings of cream-white break up its rose to pink coloration while its ruffled edges are enhanced by a wide edge of the same colors. The yellow-gold centered green throat further embellishes this flower while the midribs add to its uniqueness. A must have for those working on unusual patterened daylilies.
