LOVE SUPREME
(LATER ALLIGATOR X UNKNOWN) 42" x 6.5" m dor dip 4 way branching, bud count 24, unusual form.  Named in honor of the great jazz tenor saxophonist, John Coltrane, the color is what makes LOVE SUPREME special.  It is a lavender rose and the only cultivar that I can equate its color with is LAKE NORMAN SPIDER.  The orange throat and chalky veined watermark adds to its charm.  Petals either cascade or pinch; sometimes on the same bloom. Good bud count and very pod fertile and pollen fertile as well.  Spring supply is limited.  I may have more available in the fall.  I had two clumps marked to line out, but the scapes on the second clump had less branching and bud count, which caused me to question whether I had made a mistake as to the identity of the second clump.  I would prefer to see the line outs from the second clump bloom to make sure they are the correct plant.  I hate lining out after everything is done blooming.
