My husband Malcolm,Sr and I started getting interested in daylilies in 1994. The interest grew into a passion, and both Mal and I started hybridizing. Now, almost twelve years later there is a story which is told in our daylilies.
Our Spring and Fall 2006 collections represent many years of hard, but most enjoyable work. My husbands great energy, foresight and dedication is clearly seen in his hybridizing efforts. When Malcolm passed away in 2002 I knew I needed to pick up where he left off and here we are with many cultivars which will be introduced in years to come.
I would like to thank all of my daylily friends who have supported and encouraged me. Without them and their generosities we would not be near where we are today in our hybridizing program. It has been a most interesting journey for me, with the inspiration most definitely originating with my husband, who truly was the wind beneath my wings.
To all of you, God's richest blessings, and happy gardening.
Sincerely,
Gerda Brooker
