2005 Introductions
My long awaited introductions are finally out. Well, I don't know if they were long awaited by you, but they sure were by me. One thing hybridizing teaches you like no other endeavor is patience.
All my seedlings are grown in open field conditions with no mulch here in zone 5, land of little snow cover and constant freeze thaw. Thus, I expect they will be hardy under all but the most extreme conditions. These plants have not been pampered and the performance indicated reflects that. If you pamper your plants with lots of water and fertilizer I would expect them to perform even better. One reason these are my first introductions is that they are all relatively good increasers, at least compared to other possible future intros that have not increased enough to introduce.
Hybridizers as a group tend to take too much credit for their flowers. While it does take an incredible amount of work, I can no more create a flower than I can an elephant. Since I don't breed elephants, I offer you the following fruits of my labor.
Shipping will be late April or early May depending on weather conditions. email bclement@indy.rr.com
